I ordered this machine during prime days for a great price. It arrived, I set it up, and we immediately had great ice just like Sonic! About 10 hours later, the machine was making an awful, grinding noise and would continually go into clean mode without my pushing clean. I unplugged it, drained it, refilled with purified water, cleaned it, drained it again and refilled. It started working fine, then in the middle of the night the horrible grinding sound starts again. My husband unplugged it and said it could catch fire so not to use it again. I called the KBICE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was told that because this was less than 30 days I would need to go through Amazon to get help. Amazon kept referring me back to KBiCE. Less than 24 hours after my initial contact, and after I emailed KBICE a sound bit of the noise the machine made, they sent me a brand new one and didn't make me box the old one up and send it back! The new one works great and is very easy to fill and maintain. This is a large ice machine so make sure you look at dimensions. All in all very happy with this machine.

In the beginning I was a little skeptical on the quality and performance on this ice machine then I set it up and try it for several days and wow, I can say that it exceeded my expectations. The quality of the ice is great! I can do my iced coffee, my iced matcha, and my kids and husband love their iced tea. Simply perfect for the whole family. Easy to use and maintain. Do not need to worry about scooping ice anymore! This machine can dispense it directly to your glass. Simply perfect. I called and the customer service it's very good. They answer all my questions. I cannot ask for anything else. Highly recommend to anyone who is thinking on buying a new ice machine.

I ordered this to replace the Frigidaire nugget ice maker that self destructed after 6 months of use. It seems that those 6 months meant we will be forever in need of a nugget ice maker as there was a near riot in our house when we all the sudden found ourselves without one. Now the hard part, do I dare use the partial refund for another Frigidaire and hope for the best even though quite a few people had the same issue with that machine imploding in on itself like ours did. Or do I try the GE which would cost me another $200 over my Amazon credit. All of the sudden this Ice Maker shows up in a search. The reviews were decent so we gave it a try. With only 2 weeks under our belt I'm going to say this machine is much better then the Frigidaire in a few ways. #1) It is WAY, WAY more quiet. The Frigidaire sounded like a flock of birds trying to make their way out of a cage. Constant bangs and crashes a really loud compressor and fan. You will see this in the reviews of that machine. While there is still some noise when it dumps new ice and fan noise, it is much, much better then the Frigidaire. #2) This machine doesn't leak water everywhere like the Frigidaire did. Our drip tray was always overflowing and we had to keep a towel under it to catch that overflow. You will see this in the Frigidaire reviews also. The KBice maker will drop a nugget into the drip tray every now and then but it usually is evaporated by the time another falls in. 3) Dispensing ice with a button press is so much nicer. Having to use a scoop was fine in the Frigidaire, but now that we have the dispenser we see how inconvenient the scoop was. What's worse? Adding water is kind of a pain. You can remove the bottom cover and I guess use water bottles to add water, but I think most people will use the funnel and little spring loaded door to add water from gallon jugs like we do. It's a bit slow and the funnel can overflow if you add water too fast, but it's fine. But that is all I can think of. Now, we liked our Frigidaire just fine. We got used to the noise and water that was constantly leaking everywhere, but now I see that is because we have become a house of nugget ice addicts and it didn't matter how inconvenient it was, we just needed our nugget ice! Using the KBice machine makes me realize we didn't have to learn to live with all the Frigidaire's issues. Now, here is to hoping the KBice maker lasts longer then 6 months!

I made the purchase a few weeks ago because I realized I was making too many trips to my local gas station for ice chips. It dawned on me wouldn’t it be more convenient to buy an ice maker it would be cheaper in the long run than me keep buying 3 cups of ice at a time. I was very specific as to what ice machine I wanted because I loved the small pebble ice from my gas station so much I needed an ice maker that would produce the same type of ice. Bingo!!! After many searches I found the KBICE. What I like about the KBICE is couple things. First it only uses distilled water which you know will produce the best ice. I only drink distilled water, that was a major win for KBICE. 2– the counter size. I happen to have the required space on my counter right next to the fridge, it’s a bit heavy to lift but what that says about the machine is that it will hold a lot of ice yay!!! 3– I love the color of the machine, it fits right in with the rest of my appliances in the kitchen since everything is black and silver. 4– I love that it comes with a funnel which makes It convenient to pour in your distilled water without any mess. I love that they thought about that little detail, because it really makes a difference especially when pouring water from a gallon. 5— I love the light indicator signal when you’ve reached the water level, it takes the guessing work out of trying and hoping you’ve put in the right amount each and every time. 6- one touch ice dispenser—- I love that I don’t have to open the machine and scoop out the ice manually or have everyone in my house getting ice themselves, imagine all those hands digging in the machine, was quite disturbing to me to think about. Fortunately for me I don’t have to worry about that because with one finger ice will automatically dispense from the machine GERM FREE. 7–PEBBLE ICE— the best for last the amazing ice chips OMG I eat ice like it’s a snack, I enjoy a cup while reading, watching tv and even while cleaning. KBICE Is an investment for sure but it was a must for my household, no more trips to the gas station for cups of ice. I am happily enjoying my ice maker. Worth every penny. Do your research and make sure it’s the right product for you, measure the space to accommodate for the machine and ENJOY!!!!

We've wanted an ice maker for a while. I finally broke down and bought one. This one. I got it because it does two things: 1. dispenses ice (no scoop required); and 2. makes Sonic-type Ice. The unit makes a fair amount of noise. It starts up pretty randomly. But, it keeps ice ready. The title of this review is that it dispenses into Swell bottles. These are insulated bottles with openings about 35 mm in diameter. The ice from our refrigerator will almost fit into that opening. Almost. The ice from this KBICE machine goes in easily, directly from the spigot.
